Aalborg University (AAU) is a leading Danish university known for its problem-based learning approach and strong research focus. The department of the Built Environment (BUILD) at AAU conducts interdisciplinary research and education in sustainable construction, energy-efficient buildings, and smart cities.The Research Group for Building Energy Systems and Indoor Environment focuses on optimizing energy performance, indoor air quality, and thermal comfort in buildings through advanced technologies, innovative control strategies, and data-driven analysis.

The company was formed at the turn of the year 2022/2023 through a merger of CIT Energy Management AB and CIT Industriell Energi AB, with operations since the late 1980s. CIT Renergy unique expertise consists of combining detailed technical knowledge with an overall energy system perspective. They specialize in analyses and investigations of energy systems and energy technologies as well as energy efficiency. CIT Renergy extensive experience of working with the energy needs of buildings and indoor environmental issues as well as with the energy-intensive industry. The company is also well-acquainted with, and have extensive knowledge about, energy simulation models for different types of buildings, how they are used and advising in suitable requirement specifications or certification schemes. Provided services are used both during the planning phase of new buildings and in the operation or rebuilding of existing buildings. It was established on 13th May 1953 on the initiative of Lublin's community of engineers and technicians. The University maintains close relations with academic institutions and communities worldwide (over 180 bilateral agreements). The relations translate into joint research, guest lectures and science internships, joint international conferences, joint projects, student exchange and double degree programs. In frame of this project scientific staff from 3 Faculities will take part, namely: Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The Faculty of Environmental Engineering is involved in several research topics such as energy efficiency in buildings, forecast control of heating system, forecast control of RES, evaluation of HVAC systems in terms of energy consumption and providing optimal indor air conditions, heat cost allocation and smart meters. We have also laboratory for testing and optimization of operating parameters of central heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC) elements.
